Who made the Top 10 and who went home?

Monday evening american idol there was not only a competition between the contestants, there was also a kind of friendly competition between the judges. Tonight’s episode also brought performances and eliminations. We now have the Top 10 of this season.

A friendly competition took place between the judges. For the first time, the show introduced something new. Each contestant had three songs to choose from, one from each judge. But the Idol hopefuls weren’t sure which judge picked which song. At the end of their performance, it was revealed.

The judge whose songs were chosen the most became the champion. At the end of the night, there was a clear winner between judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. And that was…a drum roll, please. Katy Perry and Luke Bryan. It was a tie!

But the episode wasn’t all fun and games. We also had to say goodbye to a singer. So who advances in the competition and who went home?

Who made the American Idol Top 10?

The two Platinum Ticket winners advance to the next round. Jay Copeland performed Jeff Buckley’s “Lilac Wine” at Judge Katy’s suggestion. Huntergirl went with Luke Bryan’s pick of Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5”.

Who got into American Idol?

Lady K and Tristen Gressett were in the “bottom two”. In a surprise twist, american idol host Ryan Seacrest revealed that the judge who won received a prize. They might save one of the budding musicians. Since it was a tie, both Perry and Bryan got to choose who they would keep in the competition. And it was Lady K.

That means this week the show said goodbye to 17 Tristen Gresset.
