The Waunakee Public Library will be hosting a talk that will explain why many are confused about ‘race’ and how this can be addressed in a program called ‘Misconceptions About’ Race ‘at 6:30 p.m. on September 23. September 25: Fetch 5K Dog Jog and Fun Walk
The Fetch Wisconsin Dog Jog and Fun Walk will take place on September 25 at Octopi Brewing. Registrations are open online at www.donate.fetchwi.org/fetch5K until 3 p.m. on Friday, September 24. All students in 4K through 8 are invited to Youth Soccer Night which will be held on Saturday September 25 at the Warrior Pitch at Waunakee High School. The purple / varsity JV reserve team will play Madison West at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity team that will play Madison West at 7 p.m. During the varsity game, the half-time entertainment will involve the participation of young people in a PK shootout. Registration for October 13, 2021, PSAT / NMSQT (Preliminary Academic Aptitude Test / National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) takes place at the Waunakee High School Waunakee High School Counseling Office from September 6 to 29. October 1: Reunion parade

The 15th annual Food for Kidz event takes place on Sunday, October 10 at the Waunakee High School Commons. The goal is to pack 200,000 meals for starving children and their families. Meals will be shipped to an orphanage in Haiti and also distributed free to local pantries. Volunteers are needed to help prepare meals and can register on the website, Waunakeefoodforkidz.org. for a quarter of an hour and a half.
