Two Point Campus: Film Events Guide

0

Players can launch multiple events in Two-point campus. Events are important for several reasons. They provide entertainment, which is important in keeping students happy. Happy students are more likely to continue their studies without dropping out and they are more likely to succeed in their courses. They can also give certain buffs, like increased happiness, movement speed, and learning rate.

If players have a lecture hall, they can host movie events for students using the lectern. Film events at Two-point campus last 15 days, so it’s quite a short activity to give students a happiness boost. They vary a bit in prizes and awards, and it’s a good idea to have movie nights on rotation throughout the academic year.

GAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

funny movie

  • Terms: Lectern
  • Awards: +20% Happiness, Entertainment
  • Duration: 15 days
  • Cost: $4,000

The funny movie gives a decent happiness boost and provides entertainment. It’s one of the first cinematic events players unlock in the game, and it’s one of the cheapest options for keeping students happy (which is important: managing finances properly is a big part of success in Two-point campus).

The movie itself is a silly slapstick comedy, and the students will come out of it a little happier, so it’s a decent event to host when the lecture halls aren’t being used for teaching purposes. This, and the romantic film, is a cheap alternative to Student Union parties, and with a duration of 15 days, it doesn’t take too long to study.

A romantic movie

  • Terms: Lectern
  • Awards: +20% Happiness, Entertainment
  • Duration: 15 days
  • Cost: $4,000

The romantic movie provides a great happiness boost and entertains students between classes. The story appears to be a conversation between a man and a woman as they dine. What happens between them is a complete mystery as the players don’t hear the script, but it seems to keep the students pretty happy. (Players can still speed up time if they want to skip it.)

The Romance Movie is identical to the Funny Movie in terms of buffs, so players can alternate if they feel like it. Students won’t get bored if they see the same movie twice, so it doesn’t seem to make a difference.

Horror movie

  • Terms: Lectern
  • Awards: +20 Happiness, Energy
  • Duration: 15 days
  • Cost of the event: $4,000

The horror movie provides a fun escape for overworked students, and it’s good to stick with if students are starting to feel tired. Like the comedy movie and the romantic movie, it increases happiness by 20%, but it also provides energy. Energy is important and students will need it to complete their studies. They usually recover energy when lying down, but the horror movie can provide them with this instead.

It’s also great fun to watch the students enjoy a scary zombie movie.

A western movie

  • Terms: Lectern
  • Awards: +20% Happiness, Energy
  • Duration: 15 days
  • Cost of the event: $4,000

The western movie is identical to the horror movie when it comes to bonuses: students get a 20% happiness bonus and a decent energy bonus. This is a good event to host when students are getting tired of juggling studies, socializing, and achieving personal goals. It takes energy to cope with long lectures and writing assignments.

It’s a generic cowboy movie, and the students seem to be enjoying it judging by their applause at the end!

Action movie

  • Terms: Lectern
  • Awards: +20% happiness, +10% movement speed
  • Duration: 15 days
  • Cost of the event: $5,000

The action movie is slightly different from cheaper movies, in that it not only increases happiness, but also adds a +10% movement speed buff. These are decent bonuses, so it’s worth spending a bit more to get students moving between classes faster. Travel speed is important because students who can participate in more activities are more likely to get good grades (and therefore, more likely to graduate). This, combined with the walking club, can make a real difference for students as they move around campus.

It’s also fun to watch, an oddly fascinating scene from 15 days of a man wearing sunglasses riding a motorbike.

Science fiction film

  • Terms: Lectern
  • Awards: +20% happiness, +10% learning rate
  • Duration: 15 days
  • Cost of the event: $6,000

The sci-fi movie has some of the most useful buffs players can get from cinematic events. It gives students the standard +20% happiness bonus, as well as a +10% increase in their learning rate. The learning rate is important for obvious reasons: students who want to do well will need to have a decent learning rate to pass their courses. The learning rate can fluctuate and is influenced by their mood, so this double boost is worth investing some money.

It is the most expensive film event, but it is a good idea to play this film if students need a boost in their studies. It features, unsurprisingly, little green aliens.
