TGS Esports announces the relaunch of live events, starting with Pinnacle, Canada’s first post-pandemic live esports event held at the Vancouver Convention Center.
The TGS Pinnacle, which debuted in 2018, is one of Canada’s biggest and most famous esports tournaments. They will include contests for popular titles like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Melee, Street Fighter V, Guilty Gear, Tekken 7, and many more. With more announcements to come, the event will also feature vendor booths, artist exhibits, and a school esports zone where local high schools and colleges will promote their esports programs.
Pinnacle’s inaugural event in 2018 drew 750 attendees, making it a successful start to the city’s first major esports event right now. The event then drew 800 guests in 2019, with a grand prize of $ 20,000 helping them sell the event.
âWith the return of live esports events, we are delighted with what TGS has in store for us for 2022,â said Spiro Khouri, CEO of TGS Esports.
Pinnacle will run for three days, offer a prize pool of $ 20,000 and hope to attract over 2,000 participants from across North America. It will take place at the Vancouver Convention Center from October 8-10, 2021. Organizers say they will meet BC’s latest public health requirements. TGS Esports will provide more information on tickets and the full event schedule in the near future.
