It’s the last weekend before school starts, which means back-to-school parties continue this weekend with two big ones in downtown Mount Dora and the Lake Square Mall.
Plus, enjoy popular events such as First Friday Food Trucks in Clermont and First Friday Street Party in Eustis.

First Friday Food Trucks
Enjoy an assortment of food, music and craft vendors in historic downtown Clermont on Fridays from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. This event is organized by the Clermont Downtown Partnership and sponsored in part by the City of Clermont.
Check out all the local varieties of food as well as the downtown shops.
First Friday street party
Eustis will host their monthly First Friday Street Party on Fridays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Enjoy a wide variety of food, vendors and live music, and downtown shops will be open late.
Heart of Florida Youth Ranch Race
Help fight human trafficking by participating in the Heart of Florida Youth Ranch Run at Gator Harley Davidson, 1745 US Highway 441 in Leesburg, Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The event will feature vendors, adult food and drink with live music by Joe Santana.
The cost is $ 10 per person. Kick rises at 4 p.m.
Back to school party
Start the school year off right with a Back to School Bash at Lake Square Mall, 10401 US Hwy 441 in Leesburg, Saturdays at 11 a.m.
There will be a distribution of school supplies and a noon back-to-school fashion show hosted by Bella Faire Event Productions.
Then at 1:30 p.m., enjoy a Paw Patrol dance party.
The event is free.
Mount Dora back-to-school party
On Saturdays, kids can drop by the Mount Dora Community Center from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and pick up free school supplies, play kids’ games and have family fun before heading back to school.
Enjoy live music from Cat Ridgeway, followed by a special fireworks display at 9:30 p.m.
First Saturday Bird Watching
Take an early morning walk with bird watcher Bob Wexler to see how many birds you can find at the Trout Lake Nature Center on Saturdays at 8 a.m. Or just come and enjoy the calm of a morning in nature. Dress for Florida outdoor weather and bring binoculars if you have them.
Cleaning the shores of Lake Eustis
CleanUp Eustis is organizing its next cleaning event Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Ferran Park in Eustis.
Kayaks or other small craft are required. The goal is to clean up from Ferran Park to the end of the promenade near the community center.
