As the Murray State men’s basketball team builds its 2022-23 schedule, a solid multi-team event is almost always on the schedule. The runners have accepted an invitation to the fourth annual Myrtle Beach Invitational and play three games in four days (November 17, 18, and 20) at the HTC Center in Conway, South Carolina, on the campus of Coastal Carolina University.

The Racers, who played and won a game in March in the NCAA Tournament, are joined in Myrtle Beach by a strong group of teams, including two other NCAA teams, Boise State and Loyola Chicago. NIT participants Texas A&M and Colorado are also in the field, as are Charlotte, UMass and Tulsa.

The Racers will play back-to-back games Nov. 17 and 18, have the day off, and play their third game on Nov. 20.

Murray State’s new head coach Steve Prohm is in his second era with the Racers and is guiding them to the Missouri Valley Conference where MSU joins the league on July 1. While replenishing the roster, Prohm also announced this week that his coaching staff is complete.

Myrtle Beach Invitational support and an announcement on ticket sales will be announced this summer. Currently, the Myrtle Beach Invitational is offering a $25 pre-tournament discount to fans who register online. Fans who register early receive early access to purchase discounted tickets later in the summer before they go on sale to the general public.

All 2022 Myrtle Beach Invitational games will be streamed live on ESPN’s Channels platform.
