OLD WESTBURY, NY – Saturday, August 27 is set to be filled with live music, games and family activities for the annual Long Island Scottish Festival and Highland Games.
Returning for its 60th year, the event at Old Westbury Gardens will feature competitions such as a caber throw, tug of war and stone throw. Straight from Scotland, primal pipe and drum band Albannach will headline the day’s shows.
During the event, attendees can also catch performances by the Celtic band Bangers and Mash, Highland & Country Dancers and the 42nd Royal Highland Regiment.
For children, there will be face painting, Crazy Carter storytelling and puppets, a Moon Bounce, jousting and kilt-making demonstrations.
“Old Westbury Gardens has hosted this event for over 20 years and we are delighted to host it again,” said Nancy Costopulos, President and CEO of Old Westbury Gardens. “With the variety of activities, competitions, entertainment acts and vendors, the day will have something for everyone!”
Early bird tickets are available at 20% off. Admission tickets are $20 each. For people aged 62 and over, tickets are $18. The price for people aged 7 to 17 is $8.

Auxiliary parking will be at Westbury High School. Shuttle buses will take people to the festival from there.
