Family Friendly Halloween Activities Available Across Utah County News, Sports, Jobs

Whether you plan to celebrate Halloween on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday this year, there are plenty of free things to do in Utah County next week to keep the whole family entertained.

Highland City residents will get a head start on the fun of Halloween with Highland’s Trick-or-Treat Street, which takes place Mondays from 5 to 7 p.m. at Town Center Splash Pad.

“Bring your family to Splash Pad Park for a ride or a treat with local businesses and community groups.” read the announcement on the Highland City website. “Please enter the park through the south gates – watch the large orange arch. The path through the park is accessible to strollers, wheelchairs and carts. Please leave scooters and bikes at home for this one. Overflow parking is available on the south side of Town Hall.

On Friday, to kick off the Halloween festivities, the American Fork Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Halloween on Main, an event where kids are invited to play 300 W at 100 E. Main St. in American Fork starting at 3:30 p.m. -5:30 p.m.

The town of Springville is also giving residents an early start to the fun of Halloween with its annual Safe Halloween Trick-or-Treat event, which also takes place on Fridays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

According to the Springville City website, “The annual Safe Halloween Trick-or-Treat gives children and youth the opportunity to come dressed in their favorite costumes and take tricks or treats around the Civic Center and Springville Main. Street, where several companies have lined up in a safe and friendly environment to give out some good treats and maybe some tips. Come and have a “scary-tacular” moment!

Lindon City will host a Halloween Spook-Tacular Friday at 25 N. Main St. in Lindon. This event will take place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will feature a trunk or treat, a spooky Halloween-themed alley, a costume contest, a flashlight candy search and a pumpkin decorating contest. .

On Saturday, the Orem Town Truck-or-Treat event will take place at University Place Orchard from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event will put a Halloween twist on the city’s annual Touch-a-Truck event where kids are invited to touch and explore the utility vehicles that service Orem. Children are invited to dress up and bring bags suitable for collecting candy.

Residents of Spanish Fork and Salem are also invited to join in the Halloween fun on Saturday with the Trick-or-Treat on Main event hosted by the Spanish Fork Salem Area Chamber of Commerce. Children are encouraged to dress up and make treats at the Library Park businesses at 400 N. Main St. in Spanish Fork from 1 pm to 3 pm.

Also Saturday, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., downtown Provo will host treats at local businesses between 500 West and 100 East on Center Street, and from there 300 North in Provo. Games and dancing will also take place.
